Oncomed Leverages Gates´ Know-How For Massachusetts Expansion
OncoMed, a New York-based oncology pharmacy, wanted to expand to serve patients in Massachusetts as part of a strategy for national growth. They engaged Gates Healthcare Associates (GHA) and delegated to the firm the task of establishing a new pharmacy in a location that would provide maximum accessibility to the rest of the state and the New England region.
GHA selected a location in close proximity to two interstate highways, designed the pharmacy, selected and supervised the contractors, and built, licensed, and certified the facility. The new facility was to include a call center, clean room, pharmacy fulfillment area, shipping and receiving, conference room, and reception area.

"GHA began the licensure process with us and walked us through it every step of the way. We received our license to open in less than four months. But Gates Healthcare did not stop there. They used their knowledge and know-how to help us become a Medicare and Medicaid provider, and they worked with Pharmacy Benefit Managers to get us included in key pharmacy networks. We could never have met the very accelerated timeline we established for our company had it not been for the work done by Gates Healthcare Associates."
